Mevgal,
has been active in the dairy industry for more than 50 years with
evident success. Its aim is the production and distribution of high
quality dairy products. Founded in 1950, out of zeal, respect and
understanding of the needs of the consumers, by its founder Konstantinos
Hatzakos, in Koufalia, Thessaloniki, Mevgal was transformed into a
"Société Anonyme" in 1976 with the participation
of Christos Hatzitheodorou.
The vision and dedication of its founder have quickly brought Mevgal
at the pinnacle of the food industry, an achievement duly recognized
by the International Milk Federation which in September, 1999 honored
Mr. Hatzakos for his overall contribution in the industry.
Today, Mevgal, following in the footsteps of its founder, ranks 3rd
in the dairy sector in Greece and 7th in the food industry sector,
while in terms of turnover, it holds the 27th position amongst all
companies operating in Greece (1999 data)
Adhering to the highest quality standards, Mevgal has a dynamic presence
in all three dairy food categories.
Fresh milk, traditional and european type yogurts, cheese products.
Today, through the use of the highest possible quality of its raw
material, milk, the incorporation of high technology production processes,
its excellent distribution network, and above all, its well trained
and dedicated people, Mevgal offers its high quality products not
only in the Greek market but also to a wide range of international
ones, with exports to more than 24 countries worldwide.
