The
olive tree has been thriving in Greece for 5500 years. In ancient
Greece, the olive tree was a sacred tree. According to a law of Solon,
olive tree uprooting was punished with a human murder penalty. The
Olympic Champions were crowned with olive wreaths. For ancient Greeks,

Foufas Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced and packed in the area of
Doliana Kynourias, near ancient Sparta. Respecting their heritage,
the Foufas brothers have kept cultivation of olive trees free from
pesticides and other charges and the olive oil away from any chemical
intervention. They harvest the olives in a traditional way and deliver
them to the oil mills where the juice is extracted under cold pressure
and bottled under strict supervision and quality control, in accordance
with EU specifications.
The ideal climatic conditions and the traditional method of production
